Summer makes its way up the hill.

This is not news, you say? Well, if you live and work in Vermont, it sure feels like big news. ‘Round about May, when there’s still a chance of frost overnight and you have to cover your newly planted flowers with sheets so they look like small ghosts, you begin to wonder if summer's ever coming.
Then in early June you find yourself walking into College Hall covered in sweaters in the morning and leaving in short sleeves that same afternoon, the sun finding its way in the windows later and later each afternoon.
Then preparation for summer residencies is in full swing.
Jimmy from Facilties uses the tractor to place the picnic tables just right on the increasingly green lawn, the woodwork is cleaned and polished, and books are ordered for the campus store. Regular discussions about residency schedules and graduation plans can be heard up and down the hallways as we eagerly await the students’ arrival.
Summer’s coming and we’re ready for you all. Can’t wait to see you here.
